<p>A method for the calling user terminal listening to the signal tone of the called user terminal when inter-networking is disclosed, which makes the IMS calling user able to receive the called signal tone from the conventional circuit domain network. In the method of present invention, when receiving the address accomplishment message or call evolving message from conventional circuit domain network, the media gateway control unit indicates the media gateway to open the channel of media stream. When the received message includes indication representing idle tone, the media gateway control unit sends tone response message to the packet core network. When the received message does not include the indication representing the idle tone, the media gateway control unit sends response message , which includes indication that the connection is failed but the media flow is established successfully, or response message for indicating that the connection is failed but the media stream is established successfully, to the core network. According to the method of present invention, the calling user terminal can listen to the ring back tone of successful connection and the signal tone or voice notification representing connection failed.</p> |
