A vehicle air bag system is provided to control the current flowing between a control unit and a sensor by arranging a resistor between the control unit and the sensor. A vehicle air bag system comprises a sensor(10) and a control unit(20). The sensor has a power input terminal(1) and a data output terminal(2) for outputting the position of a vehicle seat. The power input terminal and the data output terminal are arranged independently from each other. The control unit controls air bag inflation strength and speed in accordance with the position of the vehicle seat output from the sensor.
