<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing transfer deterioration caused by a loop in a recording medium, which is formed during transfer and fixing on a second side of both-side image formation, without being affected by a change in the resistance value of the recording medium during a process on a first side or a curl in it. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a loop quantity detecting means and a loop quantity control means for both-side image formation. The image forming apparatus also includes a second-side fixing speed control means for controlling fixing speed for image formation on the second side based upon fixing speed controlled by the loop quantity control means for the period of image formation on the first side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
