<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the copy prevention method of digital content for preventing the copy of digital content, and for preventing the illegal use. <P>SOLUTION: This method is provided to prevent the copy of a content main body 11 of digital content 10 recorded in an auxiliary storage part 133 of a reproduction device 130 which reproduces the digital content 10. The reproduction device 130 is provided with a reproduction part which reproduces the content main body 11 on the auxiliary storage part 133 according to a reproducing operation input, an operation part which manages the whole device including the read/write of such data as digital content 10 to the auxiliary storage part 133, a content management part which issues a management request for exclusively opening the content main body 11 on the auxiliary storage part 133 to the operation part according as the power source of the device is turned on.
