PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fingerprint collation device with a card reader, without requiring a manager to attend in the fingerprint registration of a user by inputting card data where the validity of fingerprint registration is set by the manager. SOLUTION: This fingerprint collation device with a card reader is provided with a card reading processing part 12 which reads an ID number when a user operates an ID card 10, a card data storage part 14 which inputs a fingerprint card to be preliminarily issued to the user by a manager in which the validity of fingerprint registration in a predetermined fingerprint collation device 2 and the registration of the fingerprint data are recorded, and records the data, a means which confirms the validity of fingerprint registration from the data of the card data storage part when confirming that the ID number has been already registered, and that the fingerprint data have not been registered from the respective data of the card reading processing part and the card data storage part, and shifts the fingerprint collation device to a registration mode when confirming the validity of registration and a means which reads the fingerprint data of the user for storage, and rewrites the fingerprint data unregistered status in the card data storage part to a registered status.
