PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify setting etc. of electronic program list distribution channels which are different by each service area of video device. SOLUTION: A search process (ST 20 to ST 26 in figure 2) of a receivable broadcasting channel is started by external power feeding, after sales or distribution of the video device (digital TV, DVD recorder etc.) in which a searching method is performed for the electronic program list distribution channel, after a long period of power failure, or after moving house. Then a distribution channel of an electronic program list is to be stored (ST28; ST37; ST47), when the distribution channel (for example ADAMS of 10 CH in Tokyo) of the electronic program list is found ("yes" in ST24) from among receivable broadcasting channels.
