PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost of an image processing apparatus capable of processing image signals of a plurality of image rates, and reduce power consumption thereof. SOLUTION: A latch signal generator 23 in a latch signal outputting section 22 generates two kinds of latch signals, i. e. a latch signal of a normal imaging rate (60 fps) and a latch signal of a high-speed imaging rate (240 fps), and outputs the generated latch signals in parallel to a selector 50. The selector 50 selects a latch signal from among the two kinds of input latch signals on the basis of a latch selecting signal to be input from a system control unit 160, and outputs the selected signal to an AWB operation processor 33. In the processor 33, a latch timing of an operation result of AWB operation processing or a latch timing of a control signal from the system control unit are controlled by the latch signal selected in the selector 50.
