PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device for giving notice to a user on a traffic accident-prone spot to the extent of being unlikely to feel being annoyed. SOLUTION: In this navigation device, a data storage part 1 stores therein positional information on respective traffic accident-prone spots in a road network. Further, a control part 3 obtains a route to the destination of a vehicle, and then uses positional information stored in a spot information storage part to determine whether a plurality of traffic accident-prone spots exist along the obtained route and within a predetermined range scale of a present position of the vehicle detected by a position detection part 2. When a determination part determines that a plurality of traffic accident-prone spots exist, the control part 3 gives notice en bloc to a driver via an output part 4 that the plurality of traffic accident-prone spots are going to be traveled thereafter.
