A maximum fuel injection quantity Tp<SB>2</SB>for not exhausting the black smoke is arithmetically operated on the basis of the engine speed Ne and a turbo rotating speed Nt (S1, S4 and S5). After correcting the temperature of the maximum fuel injection quantity Tp<SB>2</SB>on the basis of the intake air temperature Ti (S6 and S7), among the basic fuel injection quantity Tp<SB>1</SB>and the maximum fuel injection quantity Tp<SB>2</SB>, a smaller quantity is set to a fuel injection quantity Tp (S8 to S10).
