PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new acrylic compound which can give acrylic polymers having excellent heat resistance and solvent resistance, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide an acrylic polymer produced by polymerizing the new acrylic compound. SOLUTION: The 1-acyloxyethyl (meth)acrylate (acyl group is a 1 to 4C alkyl) represented by formula (1). The method for producing the acrylic compound comprises reacting a specific (meth)acrylic acid with a specific vinyl aliphatic carboxylate in the presence of a catalyst.
