PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer ink film without a case which is simple in structure, does not impose heavy burden on a user in replacing the film and does not flex even if the ink film body is delivered to an unnecessary extent from a film feeding reel. SOLUTION: The thermal transfer ink film is mounted in the axial end area of the film feeding reel 21 in a state of permitting the film feeding reel 21 to rotate and has a brake member 26 which can be removably fixed to the thermal transfer type recording device 10. The brake member 26 is made of a single material and has a spring portion 263 to impose a load on the rotation of the film feeding reel 21 by pressing the end area of the film feeding reel 21.
