PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely discharge paper while increasing throughput. SOLUTION: A cutter of a roll-type recording medium pushes out a top (on a cutting downstream side) of a recording medium and discharges it, as a paper discharge action after cutting of the recording medium, by repeating a plurality of times of feed, or of feed and backfeed in a predetermined amount of a succeeding recording medium (on a cutting upstream side).
