PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal blood pump by which blood compatibility can be enhanced and the generation of blood clot formation and hemolytic reaction can be reduced. SOLUTION: The centrifugal blood pump 1 has a housing 10 having a suction port 13a, a discharging port, and a supporting portion 2 having a recessed shape, an impeller 30 which is accommodated in the housing 10, having pump vanes 31, a magnetic means 37 and a portion 6 to be supported corresponding to the supporting portion 2 in its bottom face, and is rotated around an axial line with the portion 6 to be supported by the supporting portion 2, and a driving means 40 transmitting rotary force to the impeller 30 via the magnetic means 37.
