Provided is a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, which shows improved weldability of an anode collector to an anode body and high current collection efficiency. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises an electrode assembly(2) contained in a sealed casing and including a cathode(23), an anode(21) and a separator(22) interposed between both electrodes, and enables extraction of the powder generated from the electrode assembly from a cathode terminal and an anode terminal. In the electrode assembly, a terminal edge of the anode is protruded out from one end of the electrode assembly, an anode collector(3) being bonded to the terminal edge and electrically connected to the anode terminal. The anode collector has a multi-layer structure including a copper layer(31) composed of Cu or Cu-based alloys, and a metal layer composed of a metal that does not form an intermetallic compound with lithium and has a lower laser beam reflection ratio as compared to Cu. The copper layer and the metal layer form both surface layers of the collector and the copper layer is welded to the terminal edge of the anode. |
