PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To devise a manufacturing method of a metal oxide having a new shape that is different from the conventional mesoporous metal oxide, to investigate the physical properties of the product obtained by this method, and to attempt their utilizations. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a metal oxide nanocapsule is characterized by subjecting a solution containing a two chain type cationic surfactant and a metal oxide precursor to a hydrothermal reaction, and further subjecting this to a firing.
