PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bipolar input step-up circuit where power loss is little in case that power voltage is low. SOLUTION: The bipolar input step-up circuit in figure 1 is arranged so that power voltage may be inputted as it is into two step-up circuits corresponding to different polarity of power input, without using a bridge rectifying circuit on power input side, and a rectifier part is provided on output side, and the power loss is limited to the amount covered by one rectifying device, whereby the power loss becomes small in case that the power voltage is low.
