PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive which hardly stops during reading/recording on a scratched optical disk by maintaining the servo control without taking the error signals right in front of the defects into an LPF. SOLUTION: This disk drive has an LPF (low-pass filter) 101 to extract low frequency components in the FE signals, a servo filter 102 to make phase compensations and to supply drive signals to the servo drive system, switches 103, 104, an FE signal input 105 to input the FE signals from the error signal generator 6, a reference signal generator 106 to generate reference signals, and a delay block 107 to delay the FE signals for a predetermined period. When reproducing an optical disk 100 or recording data on it, the FE signals are transmitted to the delay block 107 if the defect detecting signal is off (L), and the delay block 107 supplies the FE signals to the LPF 101 after holding them for a predetermined period. Thus, the low frequency components in the FE signals are retained in the voltage retaining section of the LPF 101. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
