<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the light distribution of a headlight timely. <P>SOLUTION: This light distribution control system includes a present location detecting portion, an imaging apparatus for picking up a backward image of own vehicle and for creating image data thereof, a subsequent-vehicle information acquisition and processing device for acquiring subsequent-vehicle information based on the image data, an overtaking action prediction processing device for predicting the overtaking action based on the subsequent vehicles information, a determination processing device for a mode switching condition establishment for determining if the mode switching condition is established based on the predicted overtaking action, and an automatic mode setting processing means for switching an irradiation mode from a high beam mode to a low beam mode on an establishment of the mode switching condition. Thus, this light distribution control system can start the light distribution control of the headlights 22 early, since the irradiation mode is changed from the high beam mode to the low beam mode according to the predicted overtaking action based on the subsequent-vehicle information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
