PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain cultivation of greening plants in a horizontal state on a pitched metal roof whether it is newly constructed or existing, and to make its structure extremely simple. SOLUTION: This greening roof comprises planting part support bodies B having approximately rectangular floor face parts 7; the metal roof A constituted by connecting a plurality of roof plates A<SB>1</SB>; a connecting joint part T formed along the pitch of the roof while connecting the width direction ends of the adjacent roof plates A<SB>1</SB>with each other; supports C mounted at appropriate spaces to the connecting joint part T; and planting parts 26 enclosed in the planting part support bodies B. The floor face parts 7 of the planting part support bodies B are laid almost horizontally between the adjacent supports C mounted to the connecting joint part T of the metal roof A, and a plurality of planting part support bodies B are arranged almost stepwise in the pitch direction of the metal roof A.
