PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixing faucet of an automatic temperature control type, wherein the temperature of hot water to be discharged is hardly changed from a set temperature without communicating a water supply pipe with a hot water supply pipe in a water stopped condition. SOLUTION: A flow control unit 18 controls the flow amount of water to be supplied from a primary side water channel 20 to a secondary side water channel 22 and the flow amount of hot water to be supplied from a primary side hot water channel 21 to a secondary side hot water channel 23 at the same time and stops the supply of the water and the hot water in accordance with the setting by a flow control handle 15. A temperature control valve unit 19 mixes the water supplied from the secondary side water channel 22 and the hot water supplied from the secondary side hot water channel 23 and automatically controls the rate of water/hot water to be mixed in accordance with the temperature of the mixed hot water and the setting by a temperature control handle 16. The temperature control valve unit 19 has a temperature sensitive spring 46 formed of a shape memory alloy for energizing a valve element 42 to the side of a hot water side valve seat and bias springs 47, 48 for energizing the valve element 42 to the side of a water side valve seat.
