PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for cooling the side end portion of the divergent seal in the gas-turbine exhaust nozzle. SOLUTION: The axis symmetrical nozzle for gas-turbine engine use is equipped with a divergent flap (16) and a divergent seal (18) installed symmetrically with the longitudinal central axis as their mid position. The divergent flap and divergent seal have a cooling-air entrance hole in the upstream unit, a cooling-air exit hole in the downstream unit (26), and internal side faces which are installed within the internal space of the device and are designed to fix cooled-air channels (28, 30) which are connected with the entrance hole at the first end portion and with the exit hole at the second end portion, to let cooled-air pass. The side-end range (36) of the divergent seal has an external side face which overlaps at least some portion of the exit hole of the adjacent divergent flap. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
