PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable displacement type piston pump motor which is highly reliable against a high load, has a long service life, and which can be simply structured. SOLUTION: The variable displacement piston pump motor has a swash plate 10 supported oscillatably having two parallel protrusive cylindrical bearing faces 20, 20 formed on both sides of a drive shaft through-hole 10a, at a position opposing the protrusive cylindrical bearing face 20, 20 via a supporting part 24 having two recessed cylindrical supporting faces 26 having a bearing member 22 fixed thereto. Gaps 30, 30' having a predetermined width are formed between the recessed cylindrical supporting face 26 of the supporting part 24 and the bearing member 22, extending in the sliding direction of the protrusive cylindrical bearing faces 20, 20 of the swash plate 10 and along a side near the drive shaft through-hole 10a.
