PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared gas analyzer having a constitution of directly inputting light quantity before and after incoming of a sample cell into a gas cell detector using infrared radiation emitted from a single light source. SOLUTION: The infrared gas analyzer comprises a first light receiving chamber for periodically intermittently receiving infrared radiation generated by an infrared light source, a second light receiving chamber for receiving the measured light beam obtained by emitting and passing a comparative light beam having passed the first light receiving chamber into a sample cell filled with sample gas containing analyzed gas absorbing infrared radiation, a gas passageway for communicating the first and second light receiving chambers, and a flow sensor arranged in the gas passage. The infrared gas analyzer comprises a gas absorption signal detecting means that fills gas of a kind the same as the analyzed gas into the first and second light receiving chambers, and detects, with a flow sensor, gas flow in the gas passage based on pressure fluctuation in the first and second light receiving chambers occurring when the comparative light beam and the measured light beam are periodically intermittently emitted to the first and second light receiving chambers.
