PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that lower recording paper need to be retained under a neatly aligned condition and that smooth forward and rearward motion may not normally function if the aligned condition is disturbed in a printer having large paper (for example, A4 normal paper) and small paper (for example, L size photograph paper) simultaneously loaded on single paper feeding mechanism and having a mechanism automatically changing over paper fed opening by moving the loading cassette. SOLUTION: A claw member scratching out paper of a large cassette is provided on a tip part of a small cassette, and a function to return a tip part of the recording paper in the large cassette positioned at a lower part to an aligned position by the claw member is given. More concretely, even if recording paper at a lower part is not aligned, the paper is returned to align by the claw member by reciprocating the small cassette at a predetermined position before moving to a predetermined paper feeding position.
