PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable both a requisite functional inspection and a leakage inspection to be finished through one inspection against an assembled product of ABS actuator. SOLUTION: At first, a predetermined air pressure is applied into the ABS actuator 1 from an air source 21 through pieces of piping 20, 22 connected to a master cylinder connection port 10 and then both functional inspection and leakage inspection for a holding valve 2, pressure reducing valve 4 and reservoir 3 are carried out. Next, three opening and closing valves 23-25 in the pieces of the piping 20, 22 are closed and an an atmospheric air releasing valve 28 is opened to release a part in the piping to the atmosphere. Then, the pressure reducing valve 4 is closed and the atmospheric air releasing valve 28 is closed and at the same time an opening and closing valves 24, 25 are opened to release a part of the air pressure within a pipe passage connecting a discharging side of a pump 5 with the pressure reducing valve 4, and further a predetermined pressure difference is generated between a suction side and a discharging side of the pump 5. Then, in this state, both valve opening pressure and leakage of a check valve are inspected, and the pump 5 is operated to inspect a pump performance in reference to an increased pressure on the discharging side.
