PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label sticking apparatus which can stick a label or the like on a peripheral surface of a cylindrical article so that no crease is made and has no possibility of giving scoring on the surface of the cylindrical article by a simple structure. SOLUTION: The apparatus for sticking the label R on the peripheral surface of the cylindrical article C comprises a base 2 equipped with a rolling surface RS for rotating the cylindrical article C and a label arranging means for arranging the label R at a label sticking position II provided on a moving path through which the cylindrical article C moving on the rolling surface RS of the base 2 passes. The label arranging means is equipped with a label placing member for the label R and a label moving mechanism for moving the label placing member and moving the label R from a label feeding position I to the label sticking position II. When the cylindrical article C passes through the label sticking position II on the rolling surface RS of the base 2 while the cylindrical article C rotates, the label R can be stuck on the peripheral face of the cylindrical article C, and it is possible to prevent the creases from being made on the label R stuck on the cylindrical article C.
