PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throw away tip capable of preventing tip from uplifting and improving utilization factor of the tip. SOLUTION: The tip 23 is formed to be approximately rectangular solid plate shape which is 180-degree rotationally symmetric with respect to the reference axis extending to the width direction C, and has first two cutting blades 30A, 30B formed at the part of one side C1 in the width direction of respective main surface parts 86, 87, and two abutting parts 61, 62 abutting on the seating surface 40 of a holder 22 formed on respective main surface parts 86, 87. Since the tip is formed to be 180-degree rotationally symmetric, the tip can be mounted to the one seating surface 40 of the holder 22 in two kinds of mounting state, and the utilization factor of the can be improved. A second flank of the holder base end side can be abutted on a holder side wall 41 even in either case of two kinds of mounting state.
