PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for applying a coating liquid, by which a resin film having uniform quality in the width and longitudinal directions can be produced. SOLUTION: The method for applying the coating liquid by using a reverse roll coater in which a coating liquid pool is formed between a metering roll and a coating roll is characterized in that a coating liquid current which flows to the rotative direction of the coating roll and has constant width in the width direction is formed by forcibly producing an additional current in the coating liquid current to be formed in the coating liquid pool by the metering roll and the coating roll.
