PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for automatically removing lint without special skill and labor by improving a lint removing technique in a continuous washing machine. SOLUTION: An opening 2a is arranged in the supplying pipe 2 of a washing liquid, and at the same time a guide vane 6 is secured along the opening 2a. Also, a circular cylindrical screen 3 is rotatably fitted outward around a center axis of the supplying pipe 2 and rotatedly driven by a rotary driving roller 7a, 7b. The washing liquid flowing out from the opening 2a passes through the side wall 3a of the circular cylindrical screen 3, the washing liquid from which the lint is filtered out returns into the continuous washing machine through a recovering tube 5. The circular cylindrical screen 3 is rotated, thereby the lint deposited the inner peripheral face of its side wall 3a is peeled out by the liquid flow guided by the guide vane 6 and falls down by differ in specific gravity automatically discharged from a lint discharging port 3c.
