The present invention relates to a slack storage tray (44) for managing slack associated with fiber terminations in a distribution cabinet (10). The storage tray includes a base (120) defining a cable pathway (142) for storing multiple loops of a cable. A hinged cover (164) further defines a cable pathway (176) for managing the cable. The base (120) comprises a bottom wall (122), an upstanding outer wall (124) extending from the bottom wall, an upstanding inner wall (144) disposed inside of the upstanding outer wall and extending upwardly from the bottom wall, a plurality of cable retention tabs (140), and a cable entry location (126) through the upstanding outer wall. The cover (164) is hinged to the base and includes a bottom wall (168), a cable entry location (166) through the bottom wall, an upstanding outer wall (170) extending from the bottom wall, an upstanding inner wall (173) disposed within the outer wall and extending upwardly from the bottom wall, a plurality of cable retentions tabs (174), and a cable exit location (188) for cables exiting from the cover.
