<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip capable of suppressing deformation in the longitudinal direction. <P>SOLUTION: At the front vertical edge of a front door 3, the weather strip 8 to seal the gap with respect to the rear vertical edge of a fender panel 7 confronting the front vertical edge is installed on the intra-cabin side of an inner panel 4. The weather strip 8 is composed of an approximately band-shaped base part 11 to be attached to the inner panel 4 alongside the side face on the intra-cabin side and a lip-shaped seal part 12 extended from the front end across the width of the base part 11 to the extra-cabin side and with its forefront bent toward the fender panel 7. When the door is closed, the forefront of the seal part 12 abuts to the rear vertical edge of the fender panel 7, to seal the gap between the front vertical edge of the front door 3 and the rear vertical edge of the fender panel 7. Further on the side face on the intra-cabin side in the neighborhood of the front end of the base part 11 where the seal part 12 is formed, a pair of bead parts 15 are provided continuously along the longitudinal direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
