<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte capable of maintaining durability to a radical for a long period of time and having relatively high proton conductance. <P>SOLUTION: The electrolyte includes titanium phosphate with doped Ca. In this case, it is preferable that the titanium phosphate has a phosphonic acid group in its skeleton, a Ca/P ratio (mass%) in the titanium phosphate is ≥0.4 and ≤3.0, and a Ti/Ca ratio (mass%) in the titanium phosphate is ≥0.05.
