<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing unit for a wheel with a rotational speed detector, capable of maintaining fixation for a sensor holder over a long period, and capable of enhancing the reliability in the rotational speed detection of the wheel. <P>SOLUTION: The sensor holder 16 is provided with a steel sheet cover 17 comprising a cylindrical engaging part 17a pressed in the outer circumference 5c of an outer member 5, a flange part 17b extended radially inward therefrom, and a bottom part 17c extended axially therefrom, and a synthetic resin holding part 18 coupled to the bottom part 17c, and including a rotational speed sensor 19. An annular protrusion 26 radially protruded outward is integrally formed in the engaging part 17a of the cover 17, by spray work, and the annular protrusion 26 is formed to have a circular-arc cross section, in a base part of the engaging part 17a. Rigidity of the engaging part 17a is enhanced thereby, and the end part is prevented from deformed into a horn-like shape, when it is pressed in, to secure desired pull-out resistance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
