METHOD FOR ROLLING STAINLESS STEEL SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for rolling a stainless steel sheet, which method can reduce a fatty acid to be remained on the surface of the steel sheet after cold-rolling without lowering the productivity in the cold-rolling operation of the stainless steel sheet using an emulsion rolling oil, and can equalize the color tone of the surface by suppressing the dispersion of the surface quality after the annealing and the pickling performed after the cold-rolling operation. SOLUTION: In cold-rolling the stainless steel sheet using the emulsion rolling oil, the concentration of the fatty acid composed of the hydrocarbon having a carboxyl group is 0.4% or less based on the emulsion rolling oil. By this method, the uniformity of the color tone of the surface of the cold-rolled stainless steel sheet becomes excellent after the annealing and pickling processes. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
