PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for encrypted communication enabling encrypted communication by use of an encrypted text capable of decrypting in particular equipment on the opposite side, alternate authentication by authenticating the opposite side each time the encrypted text is received, and high-speed encryption/decryption processing of transmission/reception data. SOLUTION: Using an encrypt/decryption key generated by use of both an equipment authentication key (Kb) on the opposite side and an own equipment authentication key (Ka), encryption/decryption of the transmission/reception data is performed using a secret key encryption algorithm. Data for transmission are encrypted to generate an encrypted text C (110) using the encryption key, and together with the above encrypted text C, only the equipment authentication key Ka is transmitted to the opposite side. An electronic device (50) on the opposite side generates a decryption key by use of the equipment authentication key (Ka) attached to the received encrypted text C (110) and the own equipment authentication key (Kb), so as to decrypt the encrypted text using the above decryption key.
