PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the operation of inserting a guide rod in a preceding hole has been difficult by conventional drilling apparatuses. SOLUTION: This drilling apparatus provided with a base 4 connected to an operating machine 2; a rock drill 5 provided for the base in such a way as to move forward and backward; a supporting part 7 provided for a front part of the base; the guide rod 6 connected to the supporting part and protruded forward; and a connecting member 8 for connecting the guide rod and a drill part 3 of the rock drill to each other. The connecting member makes the drill part slidable forward and backward in directions along the axis of the guide rod. The supporting part 7 comprises a base-side supporting part 13 mounted to a front part of the base 4; a guide rod mounting body 14 mounted to a rear part of the guide rod ; and a connecting device 15 for connecting the base-side supporting part and the guide rod mounting body to each other, and the guide rod 6 is maintained in a movable state by the connecting device 15.
