PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem with a conventional method of constructing the foundation of a steel skeleton building using concrete and reinforcements that a long time of curing is required due to the large size of the foundation resulting in an increase in construction period in a field and waste soil is inevitably produced. SOLUTION: There is provided a method of integrating the joint portion of a pile and a column of the steel skeleton structure. By the method, the column of the steel skeleton structure and the steel pipe pile are integrated to each other by a heavy-section rolled steel plate, and solid members of forged steel and cast steel. Thus the implementation of this method brings about the drastic reduction in the size of the building foundation, the easy vertical/horizontal adjustment of the solid members, good workability in the field, large joint strength, and environment friendliness because of the little production of the waste soil.
