PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for manufacturing compost from an organic waste where the problems associated with the manufacture of compost from wastes, such as facilities, cost and the emission of malodor can be solved. SOLUTION: The system for manufacturing compost from an organic waste has a mixing apparatus 20 where the organic wastes are so mixed as to have the optimum water content for fermentation and are formed into aggregate structures, and a fermenting apparatus 30 equipped with a plurality of airtight fermenters 31 to ferment the organic mixture formed into aggregate structure prepared in the mixing apparatus 20 under reduced pressure.
