BAR CODE PATTERN CREATION METHOD, PRINTER, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent readability of bars for symbol characters at ends of a bar code from being degraded because the bars get thick owing to an edge effect. SOLUTION: A bar code pattern creating method for creating a bar code pattern into a print according to inputted bar code printing data is characterized in that: at least in one bar in one or more symbol characters at bar code ends, the number of dots constituting a bar of an arbitrary N1-th module in the symbol characters at the ends is smaller than that constituting the bar of the N1-th module in symbol characters other than at the ends; and that at least in one space in one or more symbol characters at bar code ends, the number of dots constituting the space of an arbitrary N2-th module in the symbol characters at the ends is larger than that constituting the space of the N2-th module in symbol characters other than at the ends.
