An optical device (3) working with fiber transmitters (22) and comprising an objective (6) with a system of lenses (8) and shutters (7) is positioned inside a metal sleeve (21) in the tube of an endoscopic instrument. Two lighting devices are positioned laterally of the optical tool (3) and the rinsing duct in the sickle-shaped gaps between them. All parts are designed as modules and can be individually removed.
