A brushless motor (1), an electric motor, has a stator unit (3) pressed and fitted into a case (2). A part of a coating material (21) for coating a coil (17) of the stator unit (3) is in a reception section (13) formed at a bottom section (2B) of the case (2), and the bottom section (2B) of the case (2) and the coil (17) are connected by the coating material (21). To perform the coating, the coating material (21) is dropped from the opening side of the case (2) with the stator unit (3) inserted in the case (2).
