The pressing segment (2) has several recesses (3) which with the pressing segment mounted in the rotor (1) align with the upper and lower stamps of the press. The diameter of at least one of the recesses (3) is larger than the outer contour of the pressed blank which is to be produced with the recess and a pressing mould (4) which has an opening (5) determining the outer contour of the pressed blank is inserted in this recess. The pressing mould and the body (10)of the pressing segment are made from different materials. The inside wall of the opening of the pressing mould has adhesion-reducing and/or wear-reducing properties.
