A method for manufacturing a plasma display panel is provided to increase a quality of the panel by substantially eliminating particles from a vacuum panel. After a front substrate and a rear substrate are overlapped, edges of the substrates are fixed by a clip(310). After the panels are put in plural vacuum chambers(315), the panels are heated, drained, sealed, and cooled in vacuum state(320). During the step 320, oxygen is introduced in the vacuum chamber at a specific temperature to maintain a degree of vacuum(325). After a drain pipe is sealed(340), the panel is discharged from the vacuum chamber, and is transferred to a common chamber(345). The panel is cooled in the common chamber(350), and after a tip portion of the drain pipe is opened, discharge gas is introduced in the panel(365). The panel is preliminary discharged.
