<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a graphite film (1) which does not be damaged while being heated, (2) which has high evenness, (3) which has excellent electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity and (4) which is a long-sized. <P>SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of the graphite film in which a raw material film is graphitized, (1) the film is graphitized through wrapping the film around a carbonaceous core having an outer diameter of ≥120 mm. The film is preferably graphitized while applying electric power. (2) The raw material film is wrapped around the carbonaceous core and held in a vessel to which electric current can be supplied and graphitized while applying the electric power. (3) The raw material film is placed and held along the inner surface of a carbonaceous vessel and graphitized.
