<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance durability while accomplishing energy-saving and to make a device inexpensive without impairing steering feeling in an electric pump type power steering device. <P>SOLUTION: The power steering device is provided with an electric motor for driving a hydraulic pump for generating steering assistant force; a vehicle speed sensor; a door sensor; a steering angular velocity sensor; and an electronic control unit for controlling driving of the electric motor. When it is detected that a vehicle speed is zero, it is detected that a door is opened and it is detected that the steering angular velocity is zero, the electronic control unit decelerates or stops the electric motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
