摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal cell having an optical sensor having sufficient photo sensitivity. <P>SOLUTION: The length L of an amorphous silicon layer 25 of an optical sensor part 21 is set to &ge;15 &mu;m &le;25 &mu;m. The length L is not related to film thickness of the amorphous silicon layer 25. When the film thickness is set to 1 &mu;m, dark current becomes about 2&times;10<SP>-12</SP>A and dark and bright current ratio becomes about 1500 times in the amorphous silicon layer 25. Photocurrent of the amorphous silicon layer 25 becomes 1nA or more. A stable operation of the optical sensor part 21 becomes possible. The optical sensor part 21 is made to have the sufficient photo sensitivity. The optical sensor 31 with less influence of noise and high bright and dark current ratio is provided.
