<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize good restriction property of an occupant by suppressing a rotation angle in a belt drawing out direction of a spool as much as possible until the spool is locked at emergency and to reduce reduction of belt load in EA operation. <P>SOLUTION: At emergency, a pretensioner is activated and the spool 4 and a locking base 23 are also rapidly rotated in a belt-retracting direction. Then, a stop member 33 is relatively moved (turned) relative to the locking base 23 in a counter-clockwise direction while it is guided by a guide groove 34 to reach an active position. Thereby, the stop member 33 is released from a latching claw 31a, a quick locking pawl 31 is rotated clockwise with a biasing force of a spring 32 and the latching claw 31a becomes engaged with internal teeth 27. Accordingly, rotation in the belt drawing out direction of the locking base 23 becomes locked and the EA operation by the torsion bar 7 is quickly performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
