PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sphygmomanometer which efficiently detects a pulse wave from a compact cuff.
SOLUTION: The sphygmomanometer measures a blood-pressure value of a subject by tightly holding a part of an external ear such as an antilobium with two cuffs, and prevents the fluctuations of an air pressure by pressure pulse waves from escaping from the cuffs detecting the pressure pulse waves by inserting a resistive element of high fluid resistance in a flow passage leading to the cuffs detecting the pressure pulse waves. Specifically, the sphygmomanometer is equipped with first and second cuffs tightly holding and pressing a part of the subject, a cuff side channel connecting the first cuff and the second cuff, an air pump, a pump side channel connecting the cuff side channel and the air pump, a manometer, a pressure pulse wave detector, a cuff side resistive element, and a pump side resistive element, and is characterized by the manometer connected to the channel enclosed by the cuff side resistive element, the pump side resistive element, and the first cuff.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
|
