PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To watch television via the Internet by accessing a home television tuner from a mobile phone, a personal digital assistant (PDA) or the like. SOLUTION: A network television system, for watching television via the Internet, is configured by connecting a network television tuner 1 capable of television distribution video compression and having an antenna input section 4D, an audio video input section (AVIN) 4E and an audio video output section (AVOUT) 4F disposed therein to an external network device 2A such as a router or to an internal network device 2B such as a HUB connected to an external network modulation apparatus 3 such as an ADSL MODEM.
