PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code conversion apparatus, capable of converting codes of an instruction from a PC remote controller in an easily understandable way by a personal computer, without imposing processing loads on the personal computer. SOLUTION: The code conversion apparatus receives and decodes four remote control codes S1 consecutively transmitted from the PC remote controller, discriminates the four decoded code data to be effective data when a reception interval of the four decoded code data S3 is within a prescribed time and values of the two consecutive code data within the reception interval are the same, discriminates the four decoded code data to be ineffective data in the other cases, sequentially generates an additional code in 4 bits, in response to a result of measurement of the reception interval and a result of discrimination of the effectiveness, attaches the additional code to each of the four decoded code data S3 and transmits four new codes, obtained by code conversion, to the personal computer 23.
